Les Sables d’Olonne, a town whose name has become synonymous with water sports, boasts three ports:
  • France’s fourth largest fishing port for small-scale fishing (soles, cuttlefish, cod, etc.);
  • a commercial port (grain, cement and sand);
  • a marina, Port Olona, which hosts the Vendée Globe yacht race, the Hissez’O boat show, and more.
Take in the top sights of Les Sables d’Olonne such as: the lighthouses, the entrance to the port (La Chaume) with the Priory of Saint Nicolas in the background, the harbour channel and the clock tower.
